The Monkey Mind
When we are born into this world, we are innocent and have come from our true divine source. We are free of the ego and we enjoy each moment of life as it comes and the simplest things in life. We find watching a butterfly fluttering in the garden something so fascinating that we could watch it for hours. We live in each moment and feel the beauty of everything that surrounds us. Our lives are not lived through fear of the future or regrets/hurt from the past. Our actions are sincere and innocent. As our young life starts to begin, our mind starts to become conditioned by the world around us. The world which is lost in thought, run by fear and that lives in a future that has never come and a past that cannot be changed. A world which uses the word love so freely but yet does no understand what it is like to truly love, to have unconditional love. To give and to not expect anything in return, to have compassion and empathy for every human being we come across.
As life goes on, we interact with many different people who come into our lives and teach us many different lessons and it is these lessons that we are given to learn from, and we will always be given the same lesson, the same situations, until we learn the lesson that is needed, in order for us to move on. Each lesson we learn is like peeling an onion. Layer after layer is removed until eventually we are living in accordance to our true divine self, living the law of nature.
Everything that we are given in life is what we need, and sometimes it is not what we want. All the challenges that you face in life, the deemed bad situations, lie within them a hidden gift for you to learn and awaken to the truth of who you really are. You begin to see that, when you argue with what is in life, reality, you are going against the law of nature of how things are meant to be. When you learn to surrender to each moment, and accept what is going on around you, your body becomes relaxed as it stops swimming against the current, and for the first time in your life, you feel at peace in that moment.
